Local & Remote Repository

Local repository

When using the local repository, a directory inside of the file system of the server serves as a storage location for the backup files.

Note: To use the local repository, it must have been activated by the administrator!

Remote repository

When using a remote repository, another server is used as the storage location for the backups. KeyHelp supports the connection via FTP and SFTP protocols. Before you can use a remote repository, you must first configure it in KeyHelp.
