Configuration of a Remote Repository with FTP

Click the button on the overview page:

 

The Input Fields

Remote server

Enter the IP address or hostname of the FTP server.

Port

Enter the port on which the FTP server on the target system is configured. The default for FTP is 21. If the field is left blank, the default port is used.

Protocol

Select FTP from the drop-down menu.

Use FTPS

Activate the checkbox if you want to use encrypted FTP.

Note: The remote server must support this.

Use passive mode

Activate the checkbox if no active mode FTP can be used due to firewall settings. 

Directory on the server

Specify the directory where you want to save the backups, for example /myBackups. The specified directory must exist. If you leave the field blank, the main directory of the FTP user is used.

Login name

Specify the FTP user name.

Password

Specify the password of the FTP user.

Test connection

Click on the button 

to check the settings.
